The Astar Contribution Score (ACS) campaign has officially reached its final block. What began as a bold experiment in incentivizing onchain contribution has now become one of the most significant activations in Astar’s journey unlocking new dimensions of utility for ASTR and laying the groundwork for a modular ecosystem architecture on Soneium.
Over the last 100 days, we’ve seen the power of coordinated incentives in action. ACS wasn’t just about rewarding users, it was about aligning the network. With 100 million ASTR allocated to contributors across ten seasons, the campaign created a dynamic loop of activity, engagement, and project-level growth.
A Campaign of Impact
Launched on February 20, 2025, the ACS campaign was designed to incentivize meaningful participation across the Soneium ecosystem.
From onchain participation to ecosystem inflows and user retention, ACS brought measurable increases in ecosystem activity, onchain actions, and project engagement.
- Total Value Locked (TVL): $226.48M
- Unique Wallet Addresses: 3.57M
- Total Transactions: 147.41M
- ASTR Inflow to Soneium (including LSTs): 674.9M ASTR
Whether it was providing liquidity, staking, using dApps, or engaging with key community tools, every action stacked. The campaign surfaced active users, created deeper ties between ASTR and builders, and generated a stronger narrative around how modular ecosystems should be activated.
Ecosystem Flywheel Powered by ASTR and Soneium
The power of ACS was rooted in the connection between contribution and ASTR’s real-world utility within Soneium.
By being deeply integrated across protocols, incentives, staking, gas, and governance, ASTR enabled a self-reinforcing cycle of growth and engagement.
Soneium provided the modular framework that allowed this flywheel to gain momentum, creating value for builders and users alike, and sparking organic network expansion.
Midway ignition: New projects, new flows
Midway through the campaign, fresh energy entered the mix. New protocols and tokens were onboarded into the ACS flow, expanding the surface area of contribution and giving participants more reasons to keep exploring.
This injection of new assets didn’t just increase activity, it proved ACS could scale with the ecosystem and respond in real time to what was being built.
Project highlights: Unlocking new directions
While dozens of teams participated and built momentum through ACS, a few standouts captured major attention:
- Kyo Finance: Activated its vaults and token incentives to drive sustainable yield strategies within Soneium. With over $55M in TVL and more than 26 million transactions, Kyo stood out as a DeFi engine aligned tightly with ASTR’s role in the ecosystem.
- Evermoon: Fused gaming, IP, and AI into a single mobile-native experience, designed to onboard the next wave of web3 gamers. Over 316K unique wallets and nearly 3 million transactions powered its rise to the top 10 global blockchain games, backed by collaborations like Square Enix’s SYMBIOGENESIS and ASTR-integrated events.
- Untitled Bank: Reimagined DeFi UX with a hybrid architecture combining abstraction, compliance primitives, and crypto-native strategies. During ACS, it saw a 1,377% TVL growth, over 2M transactions, and 305% more active users, all while boosting ASTR deposits and borrow activity across the board.
- Yoki Legacy: Revived from the beloved Yoki Origins, Yoki Legacy reintroduced the charm of collecting Yokis with streamlined gameplay and deeper ASTR integration. With 232K+ transactions and 37K+ unique wallets interacting daily, it stood out as a creative engine for Soneium’s consumer layer. By minting capsules, fusing Yokis, and completing notebooks, players not only enjoyed an engaging experience but also contributed to the ACS campaign, earning rewards and reinforcing ASTR's utility within the ecosystem.
These projects, along with many others, became ACS engines using the campaign to bootstrap early traction while aligning their token economies with ASTR. What emerged was more than a seasonal push. It was a blueprint for modular ecosystem design.
The new role of ASTR in Soneium
Beyond rewards, ACS clarified ASTR’s position. It is positioned as a primary asset powering the Soneium ecosystem. Not in theory, but in practice.
Throughout the campaign, ASTR was at the center of transaction flows, incentive loops, and usage across diverse sectors: DeFi, NFTs, gaming, prediction markets, infrastructure tools, and more.
This isn't just about emissions or volume. It’s about identity. ASTR has become the asset that enables utility across layers and verticals. ACS helped prove it.
What’s next
The campaign is complete but everything it activated is still live.
The ACS reward claim page goes live on June 10, and will remain open for one month. Final eligibility and reward snapshots are already locked, so make sure to visit the page during the window to claim your ASTR.
At the same time, we’ll also airdrop the ACS OG Badge to all contributors with a score above 1,000. It’s a permanent onchain record of your impact. No whitelist racing. Just recognition for real action.
As we enter the next chapter of Soneium and Astar, ACS will be remembered not just for its numbers, but for the clarity it created. It showed us what aligned incentives look like. It showed builders that early traction can be architected. And it showed contributors that every action counts when the system is built to reward it.
Hold your ASTR. Deploy it. Stake it. Use it.
Because the ACS campaign may be over but contribution is forever.
